Turkey Comes to Chicago, Oak Park Ethnic Festival

“Diversity is our strength!”

we celebrated the 37th Annual Ethnic Festival in Oak Park with pride by bringing the Turkish culture for the first time to the festival, thanks to the dedication and devotion of several Oak Park area families with Turkish roots.

We were also proud to share the message of Bridge to Türkiye Fund, it’s mission and our link to children, as we collected donations for bracelets featuring the nazar. The kids raised $51 in donations. You can read more about the Oak Park Ethnic Festival at our below Medium article published in “Building Bridges”

About

Bridge to Türkiye Fund (BTF) was established in 2003 by community minded Turkish Americans (Turks4Good) driven to make a difference, to improve life and to cultivate social change for the common good. Our circle of compassion promotes respect and fellowship for humankind in the communities we serve. Turks4Good commitment to these ideals stems from our basic desire to give back to our native land for the many opportunities we have gained from her. We invite you to also contribute to the welfare of less fortunate children in Turkey.
